20. Goal Directed Project Management (GDPM)

Overiew

Goal Directed Project Management is both a practical methodology and set of easy -to -use project management tools that enables management to focus on business results and teams to focus on the work necessary to achieve those results. Ultimately, it enables enterprises to achieve superior project results by facilitating teamwork across a portfolio of multiple projects and programs.

Current planning and controlling methods focus on “how” to deliver successful results; however, there is a “weak link.” There are far too many unsuccessful projects reported because the project planning process did not effectively engage participants to define, confirm, and/or communicate the ‘why”, “which”, “what,” and “who” (business strategies, results, deliverables, accountabilities).

Goal Directed Project Management addresses this weak link very effectively.
